Magic of Zegon and the Pantheon of Element.

The origins of Sol, The Dome of Essence, and Magic and their Keepers.

When the Goddess created Zegon, she did not expect to create a new type of magic in the process. The new magic is an accidental by-product of the essence the Goddess used during the Creation. It is unbridled, a torrential storm of destruction and regeneration tearing through her creation. To save Zegon from this primordial force, the Goddess sent her consciousness into the heart of the new magic. From within, the Goddess summoned her essence once again and battled the primordial magic. With each clash of power, her understanding of this new magic increased. Finally, after countless skirmishes, she was able to refine the primordial magic into several purer energy. To prevent the energy from returning to their original state, she fused fragments of her consciousness into the energy. The fragments coalesced with the energy and from within the fusion spawned a new race of sentient beings. The Goddess named them the Keepers and charged them to maintain the balance of the young world. As a safeguard to contain the new magic and their Keepers, the Goddess created a barrier of essence that encased the new world. Within the barrier, she exhausted her remaining essence to form a ball of pure magic and sent it into an orbit around the world. The ball of essence, now known as Sol, will serve in her place as the provider of light while she recuperates from exhaustion.

Understanding The Keepers.

The Keepers are the primordial gods of Zegon. They are the spawn of pure logic and wild magic. They have no form and are invisible to naked eye. They are nameless sentients whose personalities are founded from their reaction to situations and events, which are based on logical assumptions tainted with the innate persona of the magic that they are fused with. Their sole purpose is to maintain a balance among the magic in Zegon. Despite their omnipotence, they have no direct control upon the Goddess's living creation. They are bound by the laws set in place by the Goddess within their cold logic. They are not allowed to interfere with or bring harm to the inhabitants of Zegon. They exist only to keep the magic of Zegon in check. However, the Keepers are known to influence and manipulate the inhabitants of Zegon through indirect means.

The Keepers, Pantheon of Element.

The seat of the Pantheon of the Element is on Los, a ball of magical energy created by the Keepers and set in the same orbit as Sol but remains forever on the opposite end. The faint light from Los provides illumination and comfort during the time Sol is not overhead.

The Keepers are nameless gods. However for the ease of worship, we shall address them by our understanding of the elements of our world.

Magi: The Keeper of the primordial magic. With the primordial magic withered and weakened, the Goddess was able to fuse her conscious fragment with the new magic and Magi was spawned from the fusion. Magi draws the essence from Sol to renew its magic, and in turn the other Keepers draws the energy from Magi to renew their own magic. Because its magic is almost the same as the essence of the Goddess, it is the only Keeper with full control of its logic and persona, and is also able to take a form of its choice. Magi is responsible for setting "The God's Folly" in motion. The primordial magic is dark purple in colour, thus Magi manifests itself as an aura of dark purple when not taking any forms.

Pyro: The Keeper of the destructive magic. Pyro is the only Keeper whose persona outweighs its logic. Quick with its temper and quicker still to judge, it is the first and also the hardest primordial god to be subverted by the Goddess. Pyro manifests itself as an aura of bright red.

Aqua: The Keeper of the cunning magic. Aqua is the exact opposite of Pyro, forsaking most of its persona and wholly embracing the Goddess’s conscious fragment. Despite the almost perfect transformation into a being of logic instead of magic, it is certain that the deadliest of its persona remains; calm waters belies deep currents. Aqua manifests itself as an aura of dark cyan.

Terra: The Keeper of the relentless magic. Terra is the perfect balance of magic and logic. Because of this perfect balance, it is usually indecisive and takes a long time to come to a conclusion or solution. Much is unknown regarding Terra, and it will take generations of divine conversations to fully understand it. Terra manifests itself as an aura of brown.

Aero: The Keeper of the elusive magic. Aero has no control over its persona or logic and snaps back and forth randomly. This phenomenon is due to the incomplete fusion of the Goddess’s conscious fragment with the energy. The other gods stay away from it, more from disdain than from fear. Aero enjoyed the solitude, spending most of its time on Zegon where it can display its emotions to the fullest. Aero manifests itself as an aura of white-blue.
