The Reptilian Dominance is the lost age of Zegon's history. It is an era when the reptilian Ancestors ruled Zegon.

Kathar, the mastermind behind the Reptilian Dominance, is one of the Ancestors and the most powerful among them. The dead magic transformed her into the frightening creature the we now call the dragon. Kathar has an unnaturally high reproductive rate, she can lay dozens of eggs every fertility cycle. Kathar's feeding grounds soon depleted, and she had no choice but to seek out new feeding grounds to support her offsprings. It is during this time when Kathar fought to expand its territory that she fully realized her strength. Kathar began to hunt for game, indulging in the exhilaration and ecstasy of power. The power pervaded Kathar. She sought out other Ancestors, devouring the weaker and imprisoning the stronger. Kathar spared the other reptilian Ancestors, granting them and their offsprings immunity. Grateful for Kathar's mercy, they pledged themselves to Kathar. Kathar's ambitions went into full swing when the second generation of its dragon offsprings entered adulthood, while the third was just beginning to learn how to hunt. With its army of dragons and reptilian thralls, Kathar began the campaign to enslave Zegon itself. Survivors of the Reptilian Dominance never spoke to their children of the events that followed, save for the Battle for Zegon, and even the gods were reluctant to grant knowledge of what has transpired.
